Dear gamers we hope you are all in good health.
As we have received several questions and there are some concerns about the tournament, we want to share with you our latest thoughts.
We, as organisation, are following closely all developments of Covid’19. Unfortunately the foresights are very limited. Most governments/countries only have a 3-4 week window. And though it looks like the pandemic is currently not growing exponentially in Europe anymore, it is still there and without a vaccin being available.
The are still many questionmarks unasnwered. We know several qualifying tournaments like national championships have been postponed until further notice. Would a large event like Spiel with normally 200K visitors be allowed to take place? And what would be the regulations in place regarding social distancing and travelling.
We are in contact amongst other with Spiel organisation and our sponsors. And as there is still time, we will use this to see if some of the questionmarks will become answered. If we can organise the event without any risk to personal and public health and to a standard we strive for, EuropeMasters will take place!
